Casino game mathematics

Blackjack is a decision game built on a ruleset.

The cards matter, but so do the payout, dealer soft-17 rule, doubling options, surrender, splitting rules and number of decks. Good analysis starts by naming the game you are actually playing.

Core principle

There is no honest single “blackjack house edge” without assumptions. A six-deck 3:2 game where the dealer stands on soft 17 is materially different from a 6:5 game or one where the dealer hits soft 17.

What Baccaret will not publish

No “guaranteed systems,” no one-size-fits-all chart without a rules label, and no claim that a short winning session changes the long-run mathematics.
