How this table deals
- Shoe: eight standard decks, 416 cards, shuffled with the Fisher–Yates method using your browser’s cryptographic random numbers (
crypto.getRandomValues). - Burn: the first card is turned over and that many more cards are burned (10s and face cards burn 10), as in a casino.
- Cut card: 16 cards from the end. When it comes out, the current hand finishes and the next hand starts a fresh shoe.
- Drawing rules: a two-card 8 or 9 is a natural and ends the hand. Otherwise Player draws on 0–5 and stands on 6–7. If Player stood, Banker draws on 0–5. If Player drew, Banker follows the third-card table.
- Payouts: Player 1 to 1. Banker 0.95 to 1 in the standard game, or 1 to 1 in EZ with a three-card Banker 7 pushing. Tie pays 8 to 1, and Player and Banker bets push on a tie.
What your stats can and can’t tell you
Over a few hundred hands the results swing a lot. Banker wins about 45.9% of hands and Player about 44.6%, but a short session can look very different. The number that settles down is your result divided by what you wagered, and it heads toward the house edge of what you bet: 1.06% on Banker, 1.24% on Player, 14.36% on Tie.
