How the questions are made
Each day’s five hands come from a seeded random generator keyed to the date in Eastern Time (UTC−5/−4), so they’re the same for everyone and can’t be gamed by refreshing. Most questions use Banker totals of 3 to 6, where the table is hardest. The answers aren’t typed in by hand. They come from the same rule engine as the practice table, which we checked against an exact drawing table for every possible hand. Before launch we generated two years of daily sets (3,650 questions) and confirmed each answer against that table.
